December 7 is the International Civil Aviation Day. On December 6, 1996, the UN General Assembly proclaimed December 7 as International Civil Aviation Day and urged Governments, as well as relevant national, regional, international and intergovernmental organizations, to take appropriate steps to celebrate it.

January 17, 1921 – the decree “On Air Movements” was adopted, which established flight rules for Soviet and foreign aircraft over the territory of the RSFSR and its territorial waters.

February 9 – Russian Civil Aviation Day.
